idk why but i really dont like megan nicole… i mean i’m sure she’s nice and everything but i dont like how she’s popular on youtube, her voice is so generic.

i honestly think she’s just a pretty face who got lucky on youtube, where as tyler has real talent.

I absolutely respect and understand people’s opinions when they say this. It’s just frustrating hearing the same thing all the time, so I hope you respect this post too. 

“Her voice is generic”… but it’s good right? Megan has proven her talent over and over again, performing, singing, and even opened for Boyce Avenue in their concert. In fact, if everyone thought the same way you did, nobody would want her on their show… which clearly isn’t the case. Whether you think it is generic or not, it is your own opinion.

“People like her only because she has a pretty face”. and you “really don’t like her” because you “don’t like how she’s popular on YouTube”? Okay, that just sounds like jealousy and a hint of hypocrisy. Jealous you are not as popular, or as pretty or as talented. It’s normal though. Everyone gets jealous. I’d be jealous. But again, nobody would subscribe if she only had a pretty face. 

She just “got lucky on YouTube”. So? I would say a lot of people’s fortune come from coincidences. If you were hardworking and had a little bit of luck, you can do anything. In Megan’s case, she has probably done countless live performances in small venues, before finding YouTube and working with people like Tyler. If she didn’t post on YouTube, it would be much harder for people to find her. You can say many of the YouTube celebs are lucky to even HAVE YouTube to place their videos in. (is that too far?)

But yeah, there’s so many factors that you don’t know about. Instead of being jealous and posting discouraging comments to other people, focus on yourself; It doesn’t matter what others are doing. Not a fan? Listen to something else. But I’ve made your mistake before. I’ve come to realize that it’s really just pointless; rather just enjoy the music, because deep down, you know it’s good!
